Throughout the month of March, we celebrate lots of reasons to love green!
- Green for Brain Injury Awareness Month
- Green for St. Patrick's Day
- Green for brain healthy foods
An important part of the body’s recovery is appropriate nutrition and we utilize a Mediterranean inspired diet to help boost brain recovery and improve the overall function of the machine that is the human body.
A Mediterranean inspired diet includes cutting down on processed foods, red meat and sweets. This diet helps with cardiac health, cancer prevention and boosts brain activity.
While America has a highly advanced healthcare system it often finds itself treating injury or disease symptoms rather than curing the underlying injury or disease process. Many times people are given a synthetic medicine to treat symptoms of an injury or disease process rather than being given a Mind, Body and Spiritual alternative to help the healing and maintenance process of an injury, disease or diagnosed illness. NRS believes that all forms of treatments including Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), Nutrition, Spiritual and Holistic modalities should be used in the rehabilitation process along with standard medicine.
